Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag visits China.
Mongolian Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag and his accompanying delegation attended the Mongolia-China meeting in Liaoning Province’s Shenyang City on October 24th of 2013. The Liaoning province is the nearest province that has a seaport from Mongolia.
Large delegations from both state and private businesses participated in the meeting and Chinese officials expressed interest in cooperation with Mongolia in infrastructure, foreign trade and tourism sectors as well as proposing to open a Mongolian Consulate in the province, developments which could boost the Mongolian economy, supporting increased jobs in Mongolia.
The Liaoning province was selected out of 31 total provinces in China and has a seaport that is approximately 1,000 km from the Mongolian-Chinese border. The Mongolian delegation comprised of Governors from the Eastern part of Mongolia as well as Ministry officials.
During the meeting, the Mongolian Minister of Road and Transportation, A.Gansukh introduced a policy that will be implemented in the near future. It is hoped that it will help to drive economic growth and improved prospects in the Mongolian job market. A.Gansukh expressed a desire that Chinese companies be involved as investors in planned railway and road projects and as implementers in construction projects.
In the course of these projects, it is hoped that Mongolia-China economic cooperation will reach new levels and that Mongolia will benefit. This could be a great opportunity to improve the Mongolian economy and create new jobs across all key sectors in Mongolia.
